Will all NON SKY FTA receivers (for example like this one Echostar) receive PAS4/7 M-Net subsriptiion signals in Cyprus?

Seeing as the transmission footprint doesnt go anywhere near Cyprus, its pretty unlikely. They are transmitted to South Africa! :D A fta receiver wouldnt be any good - you need one with Irdeto 2 capabilities.

ok. So it's particular receivers for specific areas. Any suggestions? Please.

Wait a minute! The footprint? Isn't that pertaining to the satellite? So the footprint reaches South Africa, but my Mum and Dad get M-Net pas 4/7 in Cyprus already.
I'm just looking for another receiver to receive the same signal but in the bedroom. Fupp, I'm getting slowly confused. :(

Ah in that case you may be lucky - the footprint for pas7 is supposed to be pointing at South Africa though! If you know a particular make of receiver definitely works, get the same make!

It's a BEC DB 6600 CI (Bejamin Electronics Company). It's quite old,not sure if they're sold anymore, but I'll have a look.

Found a few, but all in USA. Cheapest was $145. Not bad really. Have sent them an email asking what delivery to Cyprus would cost.

The specs look good.... BEC DB 6600+CI

Ah - you might be able to find something cheaper. You need a receiver capable of decrypting irdeto 2

I have had a look for receivers with irdeto 2 capabilities. I can't find any that specifically mention irdeto 2.
Won't any receiver with CI slots do?

Yes - I had lumped all ci slot receivers in with "decrypt irdeto" as you can add a relevant cam. Apologies for any confusion..... :)
