New box is there but no Thor-6 @ 0.8 west 10778 H 24500 BBC World News yet. Must be out a bit. Will have to go round and see, more out of curiosity than help as my legs ache from climbing ladders.
 
TJ, I've found that BBC World News isn't as easy to catch as it was. Try Sky News on 12418V 28,000 7/8

Thanks for that., I will certainly try. Just finished setting it up and with BBC World News 10778 H 24500 I can only get 97% L 32% Kb. Al Jeezera English 97% L 71% Kb.
This is on an 85cm dish with ivacom Black Ultra lnb.
Tried Sky News 12418V 28,000 . Get 97% L 72% Db. Best I can do. At least i have learnt alot to help with my setup the weekend, its more or less the same except its a twin lnb for when I get a twin tuner box. Christmas is coming.................

On a Triax TD88 centred on 7W, I get 62% S, 69% Q for Sky News, so I don't think you're doing too badly....
 
0.8 West.Looking at my numbers.Yours do not look too bad.Though I am farther north.

I live almost on the line of those birds, can see Sky News on 12418 V at 12db from Thor 5 T2, but get nothing on 10778 H from Thor 6 K1 Nordic beam, no surprise really!
 
Thanks folks. He is up and running now. I am leaving him to it and told him to get a computer because these forums will answer his questions a lot better than I can.
