Hi Doktor..
You have me a little confused at the moment ..
Are you saying that NSS5 has already arrived at 5 East ?
Lyngsat has it still moving West ...but currently at approx 21 deg East .

..or are the screen caps from NSS12 @ 57 East?

According to Flysat NSS-5 is indeed at 5E.
Many thanks for that ..
Looks like Lyngsat are getting sloppy with their updates then..

According to -http://www.lyngsat.com/tracker/nss5.html NSS 5 is at 15.0°E now
According to -http://www.flysat.com/nss5.php NSS5 is at 5° East now
According to -http://www.n2yo.com/?s=24957 NSS5 is at -1.54° now

Who is the most reliable???:-ohcrap:-ohcrap:-ohcrap

n2yo are normally pretty good, although when one of the broadcast birds is moved its often a few days before the tracking ephemeris information catches up with the fact its stopped moving.

Most satellites of course dont stop suddenly when moving!

@adonis1,

Please check Technical Status @LyngSat first: "Sent out (scheduled): 2010-02-05 UTC, delayed due to update break 26-31 January"

-> 3°W/day means that NSS5 has reached orbital position 5,7°E on 3.2.2010.

Regards
Edgar.

Sadly it matters not to me Edgar ...
..as I've been searching slot 5.7E for an hour now..
No sign of RTL ...so I guess this is another bird 'out of footprint area' here in the UK..
..at least for my little dish. :(
cest la vie
