2.Why are there only two choices of system encryption. Either Idto or Crypt.
I am trying to load Seca but the keys or Seca do not show up.

Tools/NW setup/manage cfg/Softcam keys. Only the Idto and Crypt keys show up.
What about all the other systems on the Soft cam?

Any advice would be appreciated.

My advice is do not bother, nobody plays around with keys these days, encryption systems are too sophisticated now, what were you hoping to open?

Hi Topper. I use keys one a month for RAI. Get this ok on my Technomates.
Use BISS and CW keys for the odd channel screening football.

Not interested in CS but would like to get this Openbox S10 fully operational.

Its full of bugs and the firmware updates are full of faults.

You may need to change the firmware to get access to more encryption types. This is assuming you can actually get biss encrypted channels on that receiver.

Agreed its a firmware problem. There are a whole string of updates appearing on a regular basis.
Faults in them all. Lip-sync. Clock works on/off. Original or Clone? Clone can brick after
10 re-boots. I have another problem with the signal input and feeding it to the Technomates via the loop through.

Its a real budget receiver. If anybody paid more than £50 for one then they have been robbed.

BISS haven't tried this yet but believe its possible and can be entered via the menu/constant CW

Loads of misguided info on various web forums.

it was originally designed for cardsharing,so any other emu it does is considered a bonus.
I could never get it to work with biss.
It is advertised as a linux receiver but doesn't use linux.

If your trying to open Biss channels and the other stuff thats left available to open on keys you really would be better off with one of the older Technomate TM100 series or TM5000 receivers.

Back in the days my old TM1500 used to open loads of stuff on keys including the BISS ecncrypted German and Turkish National Geographic channels that used to be on 16e.

The Nat Geo chanels went to 4.2.2 format in the end :(

You can still update them with the phantom patches :D

I've seen old receivers/firmware from 2005 get biss.

Yes both my Technomates, the 5300D and the 6800 get BISS. main use for BISS is on Hotbird and for football.

Lider TV often goes encrypted with BISS at the start of the kick-off.

I couldn't be bothered with receiver updates, I just use an old Diablo cam which does biss etc.

It still comes in useful for any ccws that come up from time to time.

there were a few attempts with different versions of s10 firmware to get biss, but I could never get the s10 to work even with s9 firmware.

It doesn't get nagra2 either.
There are still a few radio channels I can get with old receivers and the proper softcam.
