Interesting USB device, but I can't find anything about 'Runqida', where can I find it?

What exactly is a SAT>IP tuner? Is it on another device? Somewhat similar to the fallback tuner function, but better because this is treated as a "real" tuner.

How low is the lowest symbolrate the 8008 can receive?

Asked before here, but no answer yet: How can T2-MI signals (f.e. 40°E or 4.8°E) be received?

Is there a transcoding feature?

And how well is the blindscan function doing? Finding all signals?
If not 100% accurate it's as good as useless.

I think that T2-MI are not suported, but i can test 4,8E and 40E in C band too. Octagon SX88 has T2-MI.

What is that supposed to mean? The object is to view the the video, not obsess over transponder parameters.

T2MI (not multi-plp) is supported using astra-sm method. T2MI multi-plp is not currently supported on any enigma receiver.

It means that if I want to do a blind scan and it doesn't find all transponders you can't depend on it, so you'd better scan the known transponders from satellites.xml

That's exactly what I thought, so no advantage (or disadvantage) for getting T2-MI signals on this receiver.

Still an important question unanswered:
What's the lowest symbolrate that can be received?

The whole point of blindscan is it scans the unknown transponders. If you want the known transponders just do a normal manual scan.

Blindscan finds SR >= 1000
SR 874 works (don't believe much lower than that..)

Sorry, getting confused after working with the Nino Pro for the last few weeks. Now we have this "raw mode" where we have to choose between astra-sm and native.

This receiver has realy BIG problems with diseqc and the logic of using blindscan and positioner. It is realy bad:-( Example: when you need search brand new satellite (without scanned channels already in list). You can´t do it only throught blindscan and select the satellite there. You have to go into Motor setup or Search signal and from this menus move the dish to correct position. Diseqc doesnt work from blindscan. A pretty stupid... and it is only software... not difficult to do it better. But nobody will do it. The second strange thing is, that it is best to start without any scanned channels in the list, because than you will have problems. You need erase all scanned channels and do brand new database (without this are probably in databse wroten bad diseqc commands). But when you erase this, you will have in point one mentioned problems... Hardware inside is perfect and quick but the software is product of loosers... i dont think that this is Linux image problem. It is drivers problem. Hope it will be better. But i spent so many hours with this bugs, that i would need money for this, not pay money for the receiver.... sooo baaaad. Sorry:-( I have not better news:-(

I have the receiver personally and don't encounter any of the above. You don't say what software you are using.

Every satellite receiver requires the tuner to be set up before any scan can be done. Once set up there is no problem with DiSEqC. My setup is a 1.8m dish, motorised with 36V positioner with 3 LNBs for C-band, and a Fibo 90 motorised (USALS), with elevation control for Ku, plus a static dish for 28 east, plus a couple of other fixed dishes, connected using a combination of 1.0 and 1.1 switches, all connected to the single DVB-S2 tuner of this receiver. This receiver does not have any problem controlling that aerial system. DiSEqC does work from blindscan. The dish starts to move as soon as you select a satellite, before you start the scan. That way you can be sure the dish is pointing towards the correct place in the sky before initiating the scan.

There is no problem scanning with a channel list already loaded. And if there were that would affect all receivers using the same image, not just this receiver. Also the channel list has nothing to do with drivers. Drivers are the bridge between the hardware and the image.

So you are happy guy... I use Open ATV6.2. Probably not all receivers work good as your... What is your S/N? Mine is 23XX. Only Mascom diseqc works, but not 100%, spaun doesnt work... What image do you use?

So you are happy guy...
Makes no difference to me if the receiver works or not. It is a sample and I am just reporting the facts. Switches are Spaun. Right now I am watching "RTNC 1" from 3ºE, C-band, DiSEqC 1.1 port 2, DiSEqC 1.0 port C, DiSEqC 1.2, position 15. Moving to other satellites/services works without problems.

So if it works for me and not you it can't be a driver problem. And I don't see the relevance of serial numbers if you think it is a problem with software. Image is OpenViX.

According to my testing these drivers can't control a Spaun 1.1 switch. Switch doesn't move from port 1.

Hmm... And this was my problem... What driver do you use, what date of built? I asked S/N because there can be different revision of board, chips etc. This new i didn´t tested yet, but i believe it will be fixed.

I built it this afternoon. Driver is new today.

uclan and sf8008 update drivers · oe-alliance/oe-alliance-core@b536860

Problem is the blindscan executable. I did a blindscan of 3ºE C-band. Transponders found were 15ºW Ku-band. I knew something wasn't right because the 36V positioner was not powered up. So it has done DiSEqC 1.1, port 1, and DiSEqC 1.0, port A, when it should have done DiSEqC 1.1, port 2, and DiSEqC 1.0, port C. My guess is the commands are either not sent at all or are being sent before the socket is properly powered up.
