On account that most of the mainstream fta ch´s in the uk are crap tonight, decided to calculate my age in seconds.

Approx, as we have to allow for time delay!

Off to see 'The Revenant' this afternoon (V.O. English soundtrack, French subtitles). Taking a blindfold for SWMBO for the gory scenes....only €7 admission for pensioners LOL.

Now that the Swiss stopped transmitting in sd they'll probably alter the encryption scheme for the remaining channels. Any moment now.
Good thing I have a bluray box of Battlestar Galactica if I get bored.

Fancied something different this evening, sweet, but not chocolate. Hunted round the cupboards and found two open bags of " Starbursts " ( opal fruits to us old gits ) left behind by my grandson last year. He has micro deletion syndrome so only likes certain colours and textures, not good for him, but on this occasion, good for granddad!

Thought of a new word for the Collins or alternative dictionary.
Was chatting to SHMBO about Terry Wogan
I came out with 400 children and a croc in the field, as he used to say.
A Woganism?

Would that be SWMBO by any chance?

Spelled it phonetically perhaps? She Hoo Must Bee Obayed... :P

There's nothing wrong in a bit of phonetics, just thought I had missed out on something of trivial importance

A warning to all UK based forum members, especially those in the south of England.
Milamber is coming!
Due to the fact mummy Milamber has been put into a care home, possibly long term, I am making a very infrequent trip to the cold land.

I have been drooling over several set-ups posted by members on the forum with green eyes!
A warning to all, " Lock up your dishes! " I´ll be there by the the end of the month!:D

Does this mean you might not have access to the Interweb for a while?

Hmm. Can't find a "Wishful Thinking" Emojicon

There are times I'm so glad I live in France...

Hope all goes well with the care home Brian.....no doubt you will be able to sense and come to terms with that situation......best wishes with that, a tad difficult when you have a location distance between yourselves.

You say " Lock up your dishes! " I´ll be there by the the end of the month!:D''..... hope they heed the advice.

Whatever Brian, best wishes with the trip. respect-055.gif

Wishful thinking is correct, I´m afraid. Should I forget to take any or all of my communication devices, Milamber´s brother runs his own communication business in Cardiff, and has several toys available for me to play with:-caravan so I´m ok when on the road!

Sonnetpete, hate to advise I´m driving up and back, in an 18 T wagon so I have space for anything I find on the way:D

Now, for once only, a serious post.
Mum has lost it completely by all accounts, dementia has well set in, thinks she is living back in Dublin, where she was born, still with her dad.
And Lazarus, I will be quiet for a week or so, at the end of the month when I go:(

You have my utmost sympathy, BP.

My Dad spent 18months in a home with dementia. It was a blessed release when he passed away from previously undiagnosed and untreatable cancer.

I was going to like this, but somehow not appropriate to like.
Thanks for the support, as always
