Take a look at this footprint:
www.satcodx-op.com/ARA/eng/coverage.cgi?ARA02DKU
Compare with the official:
www.arabsat.com/satgen/gen.asp?code=2DKuband (Look at the EIRP one...)
If you concentrate on southern Norway,Sweden and UK.
On the official reception seems impossible in this area, on satcodx it is easy with a 120cm dish.
Or am I reading the footprints wrong?
Which one is correct?
Not many people seem to receive this satellite.

When I compare Astra2d footprints Official vs. satcodx they seem to about the same, satcodx shows reception further out but not like on Arabsat.

Thanks!
You seem to be out of even the satcodx-footprint.
Do you receive MBC 11642 H ?
And Arabsat 11662 V ?

I can't check now as i don't have any receiver, my dish is fixed at 28.2E right now.

Sold my Topfield receiver and needs to buy a new one, don't know which one yet as all receivers seems to be crap these days.

However i can inform that i can get Nilesat 7W and all MBC channels during the evening here.

Guess you are doing good receiving Nilesat!
I would have thought that Arabsat is stronger but i have seen a lot of posts about people receiving Nilesat in northern Europe.

After searching a little more I found this:
hxxp://www.atctv.com/en/bodies/coverageanimation.html
Seems to be the original footprint animated.
I guess that the footprint on satcodx is not correct, since no one is receiving 2D.

You can't get the MBC channels on Arabsat 2d at 25.8 E in Sweden,if you live down in central europe you will need a 120 dish to receive them.

But just like Likvid says you can get them on Nilesat,I have them too in clear evenings in the south east of Sweden.

Will try that instead, means I have to rethink location of dish.
I have been fooled by the satco footprint!
Nilesat would be reception out of fringe area...

I would wait til Arabsat 4A replaces 2D which will be in Christmas the case. 2D for the moment can be received in Zagreb with 1.50m Offset 100% but in central Germany not all frequencies can be gotten on a 1.50m PFA. So not easy to get it in Sweden.
