Help Required only 1 coaxial cable inside wall, multiple different satellite dishes

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.


I have 2 different satellite providers, each has it's own satellite dish and LNBs, the problem is my house has only 1 pre installed coaxial cable running from the rooftop to each room.

Is there any way to receive both signals from both dishes without running another cable through the house?
 
If your receivers are unicable compatible, you can do it with wideband LNBs and a unicable two satellite multiswitch.

Or you can use stacker/destackers on each point where you require feeds, this technology stacks one satellite above another, then destacks them at the other end. These units are around £90.
 
Will you be using a single receiver for both providers? If so, and it's Diseqc compatible, then a simple Diseqc switch can combine the two. If you want/need to use two boxes then that's more difficult and I think you would need something like a stacker/destacker.

In addition, there's also the full-blown multi-dwelling approach (most elaborate, both in terms of cost and effort).

If there's a separate cable running to each room, you can install a quad or quattro LNB on each dish, and use a 8-in multi-switch to distribute the signal to each room. This allows each room to independently switch between the two LNBs without interfering with each other.
(This is what you would do eg in an apartment building.)

You need:
- 1 8-in x-out (#rooms) multi-switch (eg EMP Centauri or Spaun).
- 2 quattro LNBs (or quads, if the multi-switch supports this)
- 2 x 4 sets of cable running from multi-switch to LNBs
- DiSEqC capable receivers.

There is a caveat, though: If both sat-providers require proprietary receivers, you can stll only have one active (turned on) at any given moment.
If this is a problem, you need to look into the stacker or unicable options mentioned above,

I'm sorry for not providing enough details in my original post because i don't know much yet about all of this which i'm really interested in learning, so please bear with me.

Yeah each provider has it's own receiver, to be specific:
1- beIN Media Server
2- OSN Plus HD

Both receivers have 2 LNB inputs, not sure if they are unicable compatible, can't seem to find full spec sheets for both.

The first receiver i bought (beIN) i think uses the most commonly used 2 LNB heads that i usually see, each has 2 LNB outputs.
But the latest one installed yesterday (OSN) has a different looking LNB than the usual i see and it has 2 different colored LNB outputs.

Unfortunately i have to cross the wires each time from the wiring box and receivers.
I'm still not sure what i can use from the stuff you guys listed since i don't know both receivers specs and what the LNB heads exactly are.
I will try to take pictures of them and show you guys.

There IS another possible solution - use Smart Priority Switches (SPS) (google that term) and I can point you in the direction of some devices if you need, unless you want to use both receivers at the same time (which can't be done with SPS :( ), because you can connect 2 receivers to 1 cable, with whichever is switched ON taking control of the single cable. You can then use the receivers' DiSeqc systems to select which ever LNB you want to use. Might want some "sorting" before you get it right.

PS: the SPS approach is only a very few Euros/Pounds! :)

PPS: you might also be able to use the Stacker/Destacker approach in addition to an SPS (t0 switch between the receivers), but I don't know much about how that might be possible to allow the receivers to use both tuner inputs so as to record 2 different channels on the same transponders on whichever satellite is active under SPS control.

If I want to connect two boxes to one feed I use the loop out, main feed to box 1, loop out from box 1, to box 2 lnb input.
