I have a feeling the card is paired to the official receiver/CAM using the serial number/boxkey and you'd need the card pairing to a box that can activate the card or you might need to enter a boxkey of a legit receiver into your SoftCAM on the Dreambox to get the channels to clear

I needed to enter the boxkey from my legit subscription receiver into CCCam to clear channels on my DM500s

Can you borrow an officially supported receiver to try and open the channels or activate the card?
 
I didn't realise they were pairing Viaccess cards or is yours the conax card smoggy.

That may well be the issue here, if the original posters card is Conax and not viacces then it could well be CAS7 paired. If its software paired it should be readable providing the boxkey can be read from the card., if its hardware paired it wont be able to be shared.

Sorry I should have been more clear with my post, it was, at the time, a legit sub that used pairing and boxkeys, I'm not sure if they use pairing on the card the OP has but the part in the first post about a serial number got me thinking this might be the case

@solly how did you get the card working in your Dreambox(s)?
 
If you don't have the boxkey and AES key, it will not work. You will need a paired receiver for a start as info won't be extracted from a cam

Well! So, if I find a boxkey of a legit receiver it will work or not?
 
To be clear again, I am talking about the new HD NTV-plus card.

Ccam can read the card up to a point, for ex that it's viaccess and which is the provider, but it doesn't work.

Fair enough :) - although we still have to be very careful how much help we allow. However its ok so far.
 
OSCam can read Viaccess 5.0 cards without a problem. If you google "NTV oscam config" you will find the config for it. Due to the constraints of the forum rules we cannot help you with the oscam config although they are easy to find.

If the card shows as clearing but gives a black screen its likely its using AESKey secondary encryption, we cannot help you with that either. It may be worth you looking on the OSCam forum for further help.

Let us know how you get on - these unusual requests are always interesting. I cant remember the last time we were asked for help with with an NTV problem so it must be going back a bit :)
