Hi
Can some please tell me step by step how to open UPC on 19.2E and what I equipment I will need to do it. I understand I will need Opos card 1.05 but what else?
Also could you point me in direction of some idiot guide to patching?

You can open Upc with official card and any STB recommended by UPC Direct. But if you mean through hack, ATM you can open UPC with Opos 1.05 and any STB that can read it or with the use of a CAM on the STB but may be not for too long as they are currently changing their cards to a more secure one. As for patching, it depends on what type of STB you are using.

Yes, I have meant with hack. Even if I don’t get to try it in time, I would like to know how it’s done. I will most likely buy the subscription in December.

Also I would like to read up on how to patch receivers etc anyway, any good place to start please?

proberly better of getting a sub (digialb/art)then paying out for opos and programer + cam
as upc proberly wont last for much longer

I don’t have a receiver yet, I am trying to gather as much info as possible before buying.
So I am open to suggestions.

your best to start with a technomate 1500 ci+ its got card reader and cam slots and can patch it to get tps tv cabo etc at moment

I have gathered that many people are using the 1500+, is that very good receiver for patching?
Is there a receiver like that but with ability to record to HD?

Any idiot guides for patching pls?

yes 1500cl+ is great reciever menu and chanel changing is super fast very easy to patch normaly they come with the cable to conect to pc (only £5)
slso the 1500 super is out now which fast blind search for finding feed channels
to record to hd your best to get a skytar2 pci card for pc (only £50) also this can be patched very easy

I think you want a dreambox cost 3 times as much as 1500 ci.

Not sure if starting with DB would be good idea as that would be very steep learning curve. I guess I will get the 1500 to start with. The technomate has got an usb port, can I use that to record a program on a PC?

no usb port ther no way you can record with 1500 thats why lot guys have a skystar 2 card to do ther recorings on pc
