Orbits not getting Horizontal frequencies

My Satellite Setup
90cm dish Hotbird 13
My Location
Uk
I am running a 90cm dish on hotbird 13 and have lost all the Chanel’s that are received horizontal, I.e Raiuno HD

I have replaced both my dish , Lnb and receiver to try and resolve the issue.

This hasn’t helped just still picking vertical channels like Rai Sculoa HD.

If anyone can offer any suggestions on how to resolve the issue

You might have a problem with the coax going out to the dish, all horizontal transponders (channels) are switched using 17 to 19 volts DC, if you have a corrosion problem or water in the coax you could be getting a voltage drop.

If you have a DVM (volt meter) try looking at the DC voltage at the coax out at the LNB (be safe shut the receiver off before disconnecting the coax, then turn it on) from the center conductor to the outer connector when switched to a horizontal channel you should have 17 to 19 volts DC.

Any thing below that and your stuck to the vertical channels.

Then it's time for new coax. (or replacing the outdoor connectors0

Already tried a new cable from LNB to receiver and also tried it with satellite finder with screen and existing cable still no joy.

The Elevation is set 27.3°

Did you check on dishpointer dot com to see if you looking at the right satellite???

As I don't see those channels on hotbird 13, what are the transponder frequency's?

What receiver ?
Any distribution system in between your new dish and where you are losing channels ?

See above image show both Rai uno and Rai Sculoa HD both being available on Hotbird 13

I have got fixed LNB direct to my tv. Which I am getting the same outcome with get on vertical channels and the same if use a TELESystem FTA DVB-S2 Decoder

Welcome to the forum, @Forza06 !

RAI 1 is at 11766V, says Lyngsat and Kingofsat.
Why do you say it is a H transponder?

Greetz,

From Lyn sat which says the same as king of sats 11666v

Must be missing something here, all of the Rai channels on Hotbird are on Vertically polarised transponders, with the exception of the below channels.

I read clearly 11766 on both images, not 11666.

Do you maybe have a problem with LOF settings in your receiver?

Hola 'Terryl'................hope life is good for you there.

You comment ''If you have a DVM (volt meter)''.........never used one but always happy to learn a bit more with our hobby..... ¿so is the attached foto of one suitable for your suggested coax test? If not can you guide me please with a decent priced model to suit this test.

Looking here on the Amazon, España site.........Amazon range of things very convenient here.

Thanks for your guidance 'Terryl', be safe.:Y

That will work fine, as long as it can measure DC voltage.

Fast reply, thanks.

DC voltage here (España) is referenced as 'CC'-corriente continua (continuous current) so ordered model as attached, good reviews.

Will have a long read before use as electrics is def not my forte.

Again, help was appreciated. :Y

About the same price as the TeleSystem receiver mentioned

Please provide a short list of other channels you can receive, and the parameters on the receiver/tv epg.

A few of the stations picking up on the vertical side

Rai Storia
Rai Yoyo both 10992 v

Can Tv 10075 v

Can TV is on 11054 horizontal on 13East but vertical on 11075 MHz vertical.

Are you certain the receiver is set up correctly , ie. your dish has a Universal LNB and the receiver parameters are not set for something else ?

(9750 v 10750)
