Os mini 4k Edision issues

Sedea 80 cm, 1w 13e 19.2e Inverto black ultra LNB
Laminas 150 motorized 47.5w to 76.5e Megasat Diavolo + scalar ring
Channel Master 1.8m
My Location

Hi !

I noticed some issues on my new Os mini 4k:
- impossible to set at 2160 resolution with my TCL TV , only 1080
- transponders with a low SNR aren't viewable while searching ( not a beep )
- can't scan T2-MI mux on 4.8e

Some else got these issues ?

Hi, I have got OpenVix installed . I tried to play/watch but the 2160 channels never displayed. Just got a black screen.

I have not got 4.8e so cannot test.

If TPs with low SNR did not come in, then I presumed incorrectly that my settings or the information I got the details from was out of date/incorrect and would have moved on. I guess I was wrong!

My dishes are all disconnected because the roof is being repaired. Cannot test now anyway.

The Astra 1 satellite has some UHD test channels (10944/12344 H)

Yes, for example when I'm searching a frequency with my Vu+ Duo, if I cannot locked that frequency I can see SNR gauge moving even if it's very low sometimes it's just little moves.
But with the OS mini 4k, for the same frequency I see nothing.

About 4.8e T2-MI mux, when I scan 11747 V (with PLP 0 and PID 4096 ) I received all channels of this transponder except T2-MI mux
 
Encoded T2MI will not scan any e2-box (only receivers with modified driver for T2MI support scan FTA T2MI pid), no one has modified the driver for e2 yet :(
In e2 you can only use Astra-SM for encoded T2MI pid.
 
Hello ,

For the T2MI mux on 4.8° East you can't get it because it's encrypted so the receiver doesn't take it into account. All Eningma2 receivers have this problem.
The only receiver I know that can receive the two T2MI of the 11747 V is the openbox.

Here you can read that on the OSmio4K only the TNAP 5.0 image allows you to see the transponder signal, even when the SNR is not sufficient (I don't know if this image is available for OSmini 4K).

Advice Needed - Image for Edison MIO+ MS 4k box

lets not get the problem mixed up! signal is there, for a day or so on TunerA - lets say hotbird at 16db on RAI1 - TunerB on 28.2e - all good for maybe 24 hours then when i come back, TunerA reports 0% signal, TunerB - fine.... only a reboot brings back RAI1 on TunerA That's weird. I am only...

In 7 east i can confim feed that is not locking on octagon supreme is ok in edision os mini 4k with signal 9.5db-10.1db

Forgot to mention, if the receiver can accept apps then whilst your dish is offline, look on YouTube for something in 4k.

T2-MI ok on 16e
2160p resolution ok too (TV setting )
Low frequencies like 10492 mhz ok too but no frequencies with low SR

Now I'm looking for a TNAP 5.1 image to flash it on USB directly ( no multiboot)
 
There is a sigificant difference in db measurement in edision os mini with other receivers for example
octagon supreme. Can we find a way to confirm which of the two receivers singal testing is more for
accurate results? Also in blind test edision os mini gives only the transponders that you have actually
signal. In octagon supreme gives all available transponders ...
 
So after flashing with TNAP5.1 all is ok:

- low SR transponders ( 400 seems to be the limit )
- signal gauge is very accurate even with low transponders not locked

I have to add services using "Dreambox edit" when transponder is lock but no channel tv or radio appears when scanning, especially for low SR

You could order a spectrum analyser that has been calibrated against known reference inputs.
 
There is a snippet of info that the "next" incantation of the SF8008 will address low SR tp's.
So it looks like a hardware limitation.
And BTW. You can take those tnap mini, mio4k drivers and plug them into ViX just fine.
 
Everything is ok with TNAP image, only problem is with OScam, it haven't succeed to make it run properly... servers still disconnected.
No problem with SatDreamGR image .
Someone managed to get it running fine ?
