I went today to the Portuguese import shop for the Pace here in Portugal & I asked them if I could have a demo of the DS810. They siad sure, no problem. Took my T-Rex along with me.;) The receiver itself is totally different from when you see it from sat mags & web pictures. It has a nice matt-glossy finish w/ blue led display & on button. The BBC HD is working as announced. Did a scan on Astra 19.2ºE and was pretty fast for a full search. Channel changing is o.k. The problem came when I put in my T-Rex. The message came on "Initializing CAM. Please wait..." I we did. 5 min. same. 10 min. same 15 min same message.:( Went to menu screen " CI module says:"no CI inserted". Try on/off, plugged off wall socket, same thing.O-st Tried hot boot w/ CAM, nada. Same message, same wait(25 min. this time!)'O' . Then we did this: put in a Conax CAM, Inicialized, please wait... worked after 2 min. Tried mine on a Edison receiver that they also sell, after 5 min. started working! Conclusion: Dragon CAM not compatible? Waiting time for exchange of Crypto id's too long w/ the Pace 810? Upgradable patch for using all available CAM's? Has anyone have a Pace DS810XE and have a CAM inserted that IS working? If working, what software ver. do you have? I hope I also helped in contributing with this post to whoever owns a Pace DS810XE, that this issue must be accounted for if you want to use a CAM(at leat a T-Rex for now).
