Very odd, I didn't have a trace of it here, couldn't even see anything in the constellation window of Crazyscan that suggested there was a signal! If the weather is OK tomorrow I'll go take the laptop up to the dish and poke the LNB about too see if I can improve things.

hi nelson tried this morning Metro 1 is 6.5db and ATV is 5.3db the other two are below lock

Only getting ATV here this morning but I am also getting the radio transponder on 4031V @ 5.1dB

after re checking my setup this morning -- i find i can lock/receive
ATV - at 5.8db
Metro - at 7.5 db
and the radio t.p. at 7.5

well pleased with this result

I've swapped the LNB over to the ESX241 and fine tuned its position within the scalar and here's the result now.

3824V Jalwa 4.6dB
3967V Apna 4.9dB
3984V AJK 4.1dB
4032V Radio 4.7dB
4082V ATV 6.4dB
4168V Kohenoor 5.2dB

And still no trace of 3782V Metro LOL

What a shame I have no eastern view from my C band dish - would have loved to catch something from there.

AJK is on a new transponder since we had it last and much weaker than before. It was barely locking which is why I didn't post a capture from it but it was strong enough to get the channel info into Dream.

Not sure what to make of my lack of Metro, either something odd about the coax or it's the card. Switching cards is a real PITA as the 125RBS is like plumbing and the PC is down in the corner of the shack but I'll give it a go tomorrow. It could of course just be this strange bird, signals seem to vary week to week but it would surely take a sharp roll off to drop 4dB in 80 miles on C band?

hi paul its strange that you cannot get metro its the strongest transponder I have at the mo I would not think that the roll off would be that much.

Nice pictures and I've just realised as well that you're using a 1.5m! I will investigate this tomorrow. Wonder if anyone else can check these channels, CJ, can you get 38E, not sure who else C band enabled?

Despite the lousy wx this evening I'm getting yet another new for me transponder on Paksat. Just finished setting up a new PC bundle and the first one I've actually bought new since my first DX2-66, this is a little faster with an 8 core AMD @ 4.6GHz so here's the first grab from it using Dream.

Capital TV 4184V, 2800 3/5 6.8dB SNR.

nice one paul I will try that transponder when I get my c-band back on,i am getting all the Ku sats back on the 5402 at the moment,did you sort out your dish to see if it needed adjusting.

I still haven't got the 1.2 back up yet Pride, I realised the front fixing bolts that hold down a critical plate were lose and because of the crap design of the motor it meant taking it all apart to get at them so down it all came. Took the opportunity to add star washers to everything, replaced all the zinc nuts and bolts on both the motor and dish with Stainless and packed everything with grease. Since then I've not had a good enough weather day coincide with my day off to get it back up.
