Anyone else get goood views of this mornings solar eclipse?? The cloud was just thick enough here to see it directly through the cloud,

Best way to safely view is using a hole punched in a piece of cardboard with a nail, and project the image onto a wall.

(DONT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN and under no circumstances use binoculars/telescope to have a look. You WILL blind yourself if you try binocs!)

B*gger all visibility here.

Interesting that the moon is actually extending its orbit from the Earth each year. Total eclipses a few millenium back must have been really spectacular.

Shows how crap our weather is normally when you can block out 3/4 of the sun and it doesn't look any different.

Rather eerie here, not a cloud in the sky but suddenly one could look directly at the sun becoming dimmer, and it felt chilly

It did not get dark here (north of Barcelona) but a bit like very bright moonlight over the see.Just strange. The temperatur however dropped from already cold 21C to 11C!!!!!!!!! Did get back up to a normal 24C by Midday. Shame, its becoming winter......

Greetings
Chris
