Took my TD110/Motek off the wall owing to concerns over wind loading ....................... bunged it on a patio mount and lo, it fell over and bent the LNB Arm!

Can't win.

So make sure that proposed Ground Mount is very well ballasted or otherwise restrained.

You've got to buy a v-box anyway so I'd go straight to a polar mount and an actuator. It's going to be much stronger and probably will end up costing the same.

Hi all,

The previous owner of my house said that Sky had said to him that he was unable to get Sky due to the 13 black pine trees in his garden blocking the signal.

I was determines to get a signal, I fixed the dish in about 6 different places on the house but each time no luck.

Here is the problem - _http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/8610/photo00491.jpg

My solution - _http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/9062/photo00461.jpg

The clearing I get a signal in -_http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/4432/photo00481.jpg

Perfect.

Even using some cheap CCTV cable as sat cable, seems pretty good picture too. If the picture is good what is the benefit of replacing it with WF100 etc ??
Cable run is about 30 metres

Thanks

Using dm500

Neat ........ there's a house near us that had to use a tree remote from the house as a mount, too!

If the cable works - including in poor weather - then there is no need whatsoever to replace it.
