Pictures of Members' Systems

Also must be noted that this polar mount (85cm and 100cm version) is only suitable for up to a 54mm mast. It was a special order from the supplier for longer U bolts and a quick modification that allowed attachment to 60mm masting :D

yes nice install ,,their good dishs mate . light good performance ,,strong actuator going nowhere, works well with postioner .. personly any new member thinking of going motorised ,,it may be a bit more expensive , than h to h line powered.motors ......but well worth it superb ..

Great install satelliteman almost as good as mine :-rofl2

satelliteman, very nice that was the system i was going to have before i got hold of the 1224 and dish

12inch actuator on that polar mount ?

36volt is so much better, i wouldn't change it for anything.

This is a Dream Setup indeed! Can I be your friend?

My interest in Satellite TV actually started with a Sony Betamax C30 Video Recorder. So your setup is actually giving me goosebumps!

Thanks

Here's some larger shots of the monitoring area, this isn't its full time purpose... I'm a video editor during working hours, hence the various bits of broadcast kit. It just seemed wrong to have a flat roof, a whole load of sky and a racks room without a bloody big dish to complete the picture!

Updated pic for the new setup

Top row:

1m Orbital (bought new) 3 lnb's for 16E / 23.5E /28.5E for the DB
80cm - 13E
85cm Fraccaro Penta (was new) - 5E (needs relocating as its slightly too close to the hedge and I cant get the Nordic beams on it since I installed it here)

Bottom row:
80cm - 19E
80cm - 9 & 10E

The three 80's were all second hand. The 13E / 9E dishes were bent double when I got hold of them so I spent an hour straightening them out and they do fine for what I want

Theres a 60cm Sky dish out of shot up the garden as well :-rofl2

Manyana. Ive got a motor - just need to get round to fitting it!

Think Ive got a spare dish under the hedge!

Here's a sample of my collection

I'll do some better ones if the weather improves in the next day or two. Failing that, when we get back from Hols.

Why not put it on the Penta and use the spare for 5e. You said you have to relocate the FR anyway, saves a job. Also we can get the penta reception reports from up North, lol :-rofl2

Maybe - I'll only get part of the arc on it anyway because of the trees in the way.

Id have to set it up on about 19E! :-rofl2

What channels does the compost bin top get,Sky:)

Sudden improvement in the weather, so here's an up to date piccy of the Tivù Dish Farm.

The 28E MiniDish at the top has a Quad Output LNB.

The other MiniDish near the corner formed by the Boiler House and the Wall is for 5W.

The ancient "Analogue" Dish towards the right has a Monoblock for 13E/19E.

A DiSEqC switch and an A/B switch allow the Wife to view any of the aforementioned Satellites in her "den" without a Motor and with severely cut down Channel Listings (To keep it simple for the user ............ ^-F )

The T&K mounted Motorised Dish is an Orbital 80cm with Twin Output Smart Titanium LNB and is my main Dish for actual viewing.

The Patio mounted Triax TD110 also has a DiSEqC Motor and is used for fa**ying about and for Feeds. The arc is restricted in the range 45W to 19.2E, sadly.

There are other A/B and DisEqC switches scattered around to maximise functionality in whichever room I/we happen to be occupying.

When the farmhouse next door sells, I might try to get them to let me site the Triax in their field just behind my small back garden. At that point, the Motor will probably be replaced by a 36V positioner/actuator.
