Polarisation entering

Hello

I have Dreambox 500-S, for entering polarisation it has Vertical and Horizontal options, but some transponders has L and R options, could you please tell me how can I enter them?

Hi, For ku band I think you will find that selecting horizontal polarisation at the receiver will send the 18v required to an appropriate LNB to receive left hand polarised transmissions. Similarly, selecting vertical will do the RH. But.. you need the appropriate LNB, or possibly modify a standard linear one, there are theads on the forum already on this.

The voltages to the LNB come from the receiver , the motor simply passes them through to the LNB. So yes.

And don't forget, if the LNB you're using, is not suitable for the reception of circular polarisation, it won't work very well at all, and will require replacement or modification.
 
Many thanks, As I was told it is possible by modification, I have universal LNB but it doesn't work for L and R and it is possible to put some plastic inside a LNB and it will work.
