My Satellite Setup
fixed, polar mount and C band dish.
My Location
south africa
Kindly refresh my 88 year old memory regarding the inclination angle for the subject dish.
I am in South Africa my latitude being 34.39.My inclination angle is 5.
Do I set the dish angle at 39.39.

If I understood you correctly
90-34,39=55,61

I assume you are using a prime focus reflector. If not then the manufacturer would have an offset angle within the specifications

Would this give memory refreshment?

When dish declination offset angle is 5.0 degrees, you are (correctly!) using modified motor angles.
Modified motor-axis elevation then is 55.0.

Total dish elevation is 55 - 5 = 50.0 degrees (dish face angle, for a prime focus dish). (For an offset dish, dish face angle must be corrected with the offset angle of the dish.)

This angle of 50 degrees is when 0 degrees is at horizon, and elevation = looking 50 degrees up.
When you use 90-50 = 40.0 degrees, that is when you start with vertical = 0 degrees, and then looking 40 degrees down.

I hope this helps?
