Poor reception in Krakow, Poland in last few days - why?

I live in Krakow, Poland and have a huge 3m dish and have been receiving UK free to view channels for the last few years without problem, but in the last days the picture has been very poor quality / broken up. Stalling every few seconds, or cutting out completely sometimes. Anyone know why this can be? Is this just poor atmospheric conditions or is something happening to the frequencies / signal strengths that will impact on picture quality on an ongoing basis? I initially thought it was bad weather, but 3 days later I'm starting to worry I'll need an even bigger dish . . .
Thanks in advance for any replies / tips

ps.
I get the following channels: BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, C4+1, E4, More 4. Not all BBC regions received (every other one, more or less)
Last week Channel 5 came back (used to have it a few years ago then it disappeared), but cannot get it today.

Could be anything from the dish has moved marginally / a failing lnb / damaged cable / external interference / meteorological conditions / something in the line of sight of the dish etc etc.

You will need to do some trouble shooting and see if you can narrow down the possibilities

Thanks for the reply!
Wasn't sure if others across Europe were having similar problems or not. Given that some channels sometimes appear / disappear (a year ago BBC2 appeared after years of absence, for example), I was fearing that this is an effect of the latest changes - maybe signal strength has been reduced or something (as you can see I've no technical background :-) ).
Let's hope its just persistent bad weather.
Will take your advice anyway and start checking my kit to rule things out.
Cheers

If you are having persistent bad weather that may well be enough to knock your reception of the weaker channels out.

If you have had heavy rain then its possible the cable has got water in it - check carefully to see if the f connector at the lnb end is still waterproof, anf that the cable outer sheath hasnt split if the cable rubs on a wall / roof ridge..

Great. Has been rainy, but not exceptionally so. Will do what you propose. Thanks again!
