I have a recordable satellite receiver. Every so often with no warning it freezes with the error message “No Stream”. This is not on all channels for example BBC1 and 2. If I unplug the power cable it gets rid of the problem, but only temporarily, It freezes again at some random time. I was advised by a satellite technician that it cannot be the LNB. Please can someone help?

I assume you have a Freesat box?
If so, is it a Humax (which Model) or an Arris.
My guess is you have a Humax PVR and that the Power Supply Smoothing Capacitors need replacing.

I have just checked the bottom of both boxes and they are both Arris, I hope this helps.

Arris? Don't know enough about them to point you in the right direction, I'm afraid - although I have read they have had various bugs over the years and the software needs to be kept up to date.
However, it is interesting to note you have two of them - may I ask how they are cabled to the LNB? ie Does each box have fully separate cables and you're not using sone sort of Splitter?
And can you tell us more about the LNB - is it a legacy Universal type, or a more versatile Wideband one, or is it a hybrid?
The more information you can provide, the better we'll be able to try and home in on the root cause.

The satellite dish was installed when I us to subscribe to Sky. I purchased two Freesat tuners and just swapped the Sky tuner for the Freesat one. It is a dual LNB with two pairs of cables connected to it. The dish and LNB was installed by a Sky engineer a few years ago. I am sure it is the cable recommended for satellite dishes.
