Power vu d9234 decoder AFN still trying to track one of these down which is or has been active on afn
 
GOOD LUCK….

I’m a broadcast tech at AFN here in Sicily. The first thing is the only way you are going to get your hands on a AFN decoder is bribe a military member. I am in the US Navy and I still have to pay $500 for a decoder. After you get your hands on the special decoder you will have to get it authorized and unless you want to join a branch of the US Military that isn’t going to happen. Even if you manage to get it authorized it will only work for a few months until you have to do it all again. Do your self a favor and avoid getting your balls shot off by checking out some of these FTA channels that have almost the same line up as AFN.

Another Thing.....

AFN Sucks!!!

Sure there is a lot of American programming but you will have to endure more brain washing military commercial spots than any civilian should have to bare.

Why do you think I have started hobby?,, I NEEDED SOMETHING ELSE TO WATCH…!

Hi thanks for the info but this is all old info to me i have been in the satellite game for years i already have nilesat mbc channels etc and i have orbit networks aswell,

I know how power vu works i have installed them in the past in banks, asda for asda fm, sainburys for there tv network, and for SIS, and a few car show rooms

I have been doing a lot of searching and i found i can now get a decoder for about £75-£200 GBP I have spoken to a few people today but they have already sold there decoders and im waiting for some else in germany to get back to me tonight,

I don’t have an AFN decoder and I work for AFN. That should tell you something. It is a crime under the uniform code of military justice to sell a decoder to non military personnel. I know that power view decoders are used in most cable head ends. I am sure you can find one used somewhere. The thing is that it is an incredibly expensive inception system. The company customizes the inscription for all of there clients. I herd something about AFN being broadcast in cable systems in Korea. Maybe you can start there..

I got the decoder for a online for sale site, Iv'e read abou a ise dump some where whats it all about do you know any good sites with info on them

The ISE (Internal Security Element) chip in the SA9234 is a removeable eeprom ( a built-in smart card if you like) that is able to decrypt the AFN transmissions.

It's perfectly possible to read out the contents of the ISE using a programmer, but I don't know of anyone who has actually found the Multi Session Key that decrypts the control word - yet.

Just because it’s a PowerVu Decoder doesn’t mean it will pick up AFN. The numbers on the chasses have to be registered with AFARTS. Another big difference is that a AFN decoder doesn’t have a smart card reader.

Yes it is from some one in the us army it is all working fine and they said if it goes off the will have it switched on again for me, It's amazing what you can get if you wave a bit of cash in some one's faceO-Ha .

Any way i still await the receiver the guy has given me the tracking numberand i see it's on it's way so hopefully tomorrow:)
