Premier League Italian rights

The cheap prepaid cards were not blocked by Sky IT. They were sold without EPL . I am not saying that the cheap cards are not good but they don't have the EPL games. I have a few old old cards activated in December 2012 and no issue with the EPL games. Been told that onl;y one dealer in Italy had the EPL Calcio cards, I cannot believe how much politics really. we will see what happens in the due course .

Totally untrue along with most of the rest of your post but I can see where this is going so I'm not going to be commenting any further on this subject.
 
There seems to be quite a few now confirming that cards sold for around the €200.00 mark sold from June onwards did not have EPL, as cards bought with EPL did cost well over that price . Also I have noticed that most of the Sky IT dealers selling on Ebay have changed the description and now selling the same cards with no EPL . The info I got do come from reliable sources and they knew this would happen back from May , therefore if you say that all the above posts are untrue feel free to post the exact story , as maybe there is more to it.

The cards are being blocked by Sky Italia during the PL matches. Along with many other prepaid cards not bought on Ebay but at official authorized Sky Service stores here in Italy.
Also, as you well know, a prepaid card is activated by a call to Sky Italia's call center who can easily distinguish a prepaid card from a normal subscription by the viewing card number. And it is Sky Italia who block these prepaid cards when the EPL matches are coming on from a database of prepaid card numbers.
The reason they've changed the descriptions on Ebay is because they're being honest! They know since last week that the EPL will be blocked from now on on all prepaid cards. Simples!
Your sources knew back in May......Fox Sports only made their announcement that they were going on the Sky Italia platform on the 17th June and the channel only started on 9th August!
I wish somebody had told the thousands of Italians here not to buy their prepaid calcio cards because most (not all) of them have stopped working for EPL.
Are you sure you actually have a prepaid card and not an official subscriber card??
 
Unfortunately with issues like this we are always going to hear 2 or more versions , not unusual. Yes, I am very sure that the cards I have been sold to my clients are prepaid . I was told that dealers knew what was coming but decided to ignore , as it looks like it was hard to believe that Sky italia would actually do that . maybe some knew some didn't .
 
My Prepaid cards are still working, watching the Sunderland & Arsenal game now, so what I have been saying all along is correct.
 
Some guys whose cards were working two weeks ago are blocked today. Other guys whose cards were blocked 2 weeks ago can see Fox Sports today! Crazy stuff. Another guy could see the United game and not the Sunderland one!
 
Lots of prepaid cards that have been scrambled on Fox Sport for the last few weeks can now view the channel again. Lots of guys on the Italian forums a lot happier now!
 
I wonder if I'm ok to buy a new card for this year then, is it confirmed from sky Italia service centre, the cards are now able to view epl on fox sport ?

Otherwise I will have a redundant receiver.
 
No, it's not confirmed m8. Just that lots of guys that were blocked found the channel open again. But others are still getting nothing.
 
i wonder if the todays games have been ok on the cards ?

i'm lost without the channel to see the footy games and have been looking around for other options even iptv for aljazeera sport
 
One guy today who hasn't seen anything since 31 August found the channel open.
"Per la prima volta dopo il 31 agosto vedo la partita della premier".

But lots of others found the channel blocked.
"continuo a non vedere..."
 
There are still plenty of channels showing Premier League. There's Cyfra+, Viasat and some Ukrainian channels all showing PL.

yes and now cyfra+ cards are 18mths which work out good value, sky it was great though with the number of channels you got on these prepaid cards.

thinking of getting the sport pack though to watch champions league now aljazeera has cut the number of channels on 13e.

I guess theres no point buying a new card anymore as it would be pure chance to get a working card.
 
3pm kick offs on Fox Sports have been suspended in Italy by order of the Premier League, will post more information soon.

"FOX SPORTS ITALIA comunica ai suoi spettatori la decisione della Barclays Premier League di non rendere temporaneamente possibile in Italia la trasmissione integrale delle partite in calendario il sabato alle 16.00. Gli incontri non saranno visibili sul canale già a partire da sabato 23 novembre."

Fox Sports Italy announces to it's subscribers the decision of the Barclays Premier League to not allow temporarily the transmission in Italy of the 3pm kick offs on saturdays. This will commence immediately with the games on saturday 23 november.
