Cannot correctly receive signals from Astra 2g in Formentera del Segura , Alicante, Spain

Need advice to correct.

UK beam or Europe beam as well? Do you receive anything from 28.2/28.5 east?

UK Beam. I can receive most of the uk beams, ie. bbc ch4 etc, but for some reason no ch5

Which transponder/channels did you use to peak the dish? Do you receive any channels from the 2G UK beam on this list or is it just the Channel 5 transponder that you have trouble with?

I used 10818V to set the dish up. I can get Smithsonian HD, Magic UK etc. but no ch5

You seem to have a "broken V-box" - thus, maybe, your dish isn't now aligned correctly enough to now receive Astra 2G???

AH, you are online! - so, now, just what did you mean by saying your V-box is "broken"??

Edited: it might also help if you could tell us which receiver you are using.

10818V is on Astra 2E 28.5 east... 2G is 28.2 east - not an insignificant difference. Peaking the dish on a 2G transponder will give you a better chance of receiving Channel 5 - at the expense of 2E signal levels.
