Problems with receiving ITV 1

Good evening forum,
i have had problems from day one with not being able to receive itv 1 on the fta/ftv channels, After trying 2 cards we eventually put it down to a potential faulty receiver.
I purchased another sky box this time i opted for a pace 2600 c1 with yet another white card, the courier has just dropped it off rushed it in and fitted it thinking it would do the trick, guess what same fault as the other receiver. I can watch five c4 sky 3 sky1 etc but no itv 1. Could it be that i have a faulty lnb which is not allowing me to receive itv channels as i have all the other channels except itv 1.
By the way i have no astra 2d only north and south beams.
Can anyone help me please.

From recollection, as confirmed by checking your posting history, you're acquainted anyway!
 
are you able to get the ITV1s on 11973v? the ones on here are free to view, so as you are getting Sky3, then your card shold be orking, and you sould be able to get the ITV1s on 11973 by adding them to your "other channels" list.

hi tried that no joy. this is doing my swede in, could it be a faulty lnb??
Im using a sky octo lnb
 
What sort of dish are you using? If its a SKy oval type then its certainly not big enough. If its a big round one then you shouldnt be using a Sky Octo with it.

However Id say its far more likely the dish isnt big enough. Only 3 or 4 ITV sub regions are on the wide beams. The ftv stuff is on the wide beams but you will need to Add Channels and watch via Other Channels.

what type should i have then, should i get an invacom type lnb or invert type, you guys speak highly of both these lnb's
 
What ITV region do you get on channel 103 ?
Have you tried the ITV on 12.402 V ?
 
1.4m is nowhere near big enough for the Astra 2D ITV's in the Naples area.

Yes I think thats correct - if you get ITV London on 103 you dont get it on 993 as well..
 
On the other receivers i have purchased i get the same message on the screen
"please call sky 08******** to upgrade your subscription"

Did you do what the others said and add ITV1 and ITV1+1 via other channels?
Press "services 44" then enter frequency "11973", polarisation "vertical", symbol rate "27.5", and FEC "2/3". Select "find channels" and press "select" and see what it does. It should bring up a list of channels and you select the ones you want.
 
Well you are clearly getting some of the FTV Channels ............ I see that the FTV ITV1s are on 12402 V 27500 2/3 which is not that far away from the high-band TPs prone to DECT phone interference: Do you have an noisy emitters close to your cabling? Turn off all other electronic equipment and see if ITV1 returns.
