Project 1.8m motorised

I need to set up the positions, and the kids are playing the Wii at the minute so no tele for a while. I'll post back later. Thanks.

BTW, I did a bit of a trim and picked up a bit of signal (9dB now).

Here are a couple of grabs from the dishpointer app, one from centreline of the dish and the other from below the dish. Dish is aligned on 55W on the offset LNB.

ahh - i see ,
its hard to estimate how much loss, leafage may be causing ?
on my own setup now - since i removed some of the bricks from the offending wall last year, -- i estimate that i,m losing around 12 or 13 inches of signal from the bottom of the 1.8 offset at 55 west .

Looks like I need to change the actuator. Works fine but has about 5 or 6 clicks of lash in it. Probably won't get a heavy-duty one this time because the standard one has more clicks per inch and this dish/mount is so well balanced it only needs a finger to guide it right across the arc. With the Gibertini I had to push it hard with my shoulder just to hold it up. I guess that is why I can see the lash in the actuator with this dish.

Ok, here's another one for comparison.

37.5W 3749 H 1674 7/8 Metro TV @ 10.6dB

Now I'm confused Huevos ..
Not been able to pick up Metro for many months here ...
I assumed it was no longer broadcasting ?
Checked Lyngsat just now and DXBozoth recently reported it missing from the 3749H and V Slot ?
I will have to try again if it's still there ..

Ok ..it appears I was still expecting to see Metro at 3759H ?
A quick edit and I have it again ..
Glad I checked this thread ..but Lyngsat is well out of step..
As is Bozoths report..

Yes I sent an update to Lyngsat. Here's how Lyngsat looked a week ago. Don't know why the transponder shows as empty now.

BTW, how well are you receiving this?

Approx 8.5 db on the F15
Old footy match showing ..
;)

hi -
signal is wobbling a bit on this one - but 10.2 db would be a good average here on the F15
regards --

Did a bit of tweaking and got the dbs up to 8.8 > 9 <8.7 ..
As you say Nelson ..floats a bit don't it ..but cannot get above 9db ...

Metro tv depends on tod for me... Will check it tomorrow buy is usually just about stable for me despite a relatively good signal. Stupid 7/8 Dec...

Don't really understand why Nelson is getting it stronger than VS. And you are bou using the same STB so it is not down to that.

BTW, using the Vu+ Ultimo for these tests.

Maybe it goes off at night. Transponder appears to be closed now.

i,m using the new - titanium pll lnb for linear at the moment - not sure if v.s. is ?.
it has shown a marked improvement on one or two sat/frequencies but mostly it gives the same signal - db as the BSC 421

Scan of 40.5W... 159 FTA channels. Does that sound about right?

1W, The Pentagon Channel @ 7.2 dB.

34.5W, KNR2 (4045 L 13500 2/3) at 4.5dB.

hi -
just checked the above - here this morning

1 West TPC -- 7.2 db
34.5 West KNR 2 -- 5.3 db
40.5 West Rede Uniao -- 10.6 db

Locked TPC on 1W for the first time today at 5.4dB on the Uno... though PCIe card isn't even registering the signal there for some odd reason.

1dB from KNR2 on PCIe card - nothing on the Uno

Rene Unidao - 6dB on the Uno

Currently using the ESX ..
Not had time yet to fit the Titanium on Christina ..
I had the non European (restricted version) on for a while ..
The unrestricted Titanium is currently offset on Carl..
Another job for later methinks

I'll check the same three transponders as Nelson later for you ..
btw Non blindscan manual input of 40W last night using DVBviewer and the ESX lnb on Christina logged 300 channels..if it helps.
