..are there 4 holes in the feed horn substitute (only 3 visible in the photo)...and do they allow signal entry to the waveguide from 4 directions ?
Or are the holes simply for mounting ?

I second that.
It's a waveguide that allows the signal path from four offset dishes to combine in the same feedhorn.
I can only speculate that there could be a cost benefit, otherwise why not get a larger dish?

Assuming the off centre holes are for mounting ...?
some sort of sub reflector ..
ie a dual/triple focus dish/ combined lnb ...not cassagrain ..?

Yep ..as I first thought then ..
Perhaps I'm not brain dead afterall..
;)
I suspect there might be issues with phase interactions...so perhaps not.._unless_ that is what the centre screw is for ..
adjusting the cavity resonance ??

..but there is still my second guess ???...but that would require that centre bolt be removed..
lol

..my 3rd guess ..you're just mad and p!ssed off with TV content ..so found an elaborate method of stopping any signal getting into the lnb ?

Yep side lobes occurred to me too ...(ties in with my first guess) ...but would you use 4 holes as entry points ?
2 would suffice I think..

From the little I know yes you would need more than two holes to monitor radiation patterns,

Side lobes is only a guess though, he could be up to anything :D

Vipersan gives a right answer ( I'm mad ) and guesses in the right direction
But St1 hit the clue .
I dont want to have a larger dish , just want to beat my free time and do things that maybe are not done before ( by amatures )

I started with 2 Triax TDS64 dishes set to zero elevation , for that I have to cut a part of the poleclamp .

zero elev.jpg
Than attached them opposit at a tube to find the angle between the feedhorns with enough room for 2 more feedarms .

angle set-up.jpg

Now I could make the quatro-feed and 4 long neck feedhorns .
They are inside not all the same , could be a issiue to solve later .

quatro feed.jpg

To look it like a four leaf clover , I made a cross pole at a temporary stand with a fine elevation adjuster , later I noticed thats a bad idea since each dish must be optimised single .
Its easier to do when they are horizontal or vertical .

elev adjuster.jpg

Pointed the set to 19.2º E and found a lot off signal but with bad quality , but it still gives me a picture .

four leaf clover.jpg

As you can see there where bad weather conditions and I run out of time (have to leave the house for a celebration)
To set each dish to the optimum , I gonna turn the cross to upright .
When each dish is proper set I want to remove the feedarms and replace them for a tube from teh centre off the cross to the centre bolt at the quatro feed .

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Since you have created a prime focus set up, the best thing to do is remove the feed arms completely and make four new ones capable of fitting on the top sections of the rim, and run a single feed.

Ground noise is always going to be an issue until you fill the gaps between reflectors with additional reflective material on the same parabola though, but you will then have the Frankenstein version of Christina adorning your property

Irradiating Sky "Engineers"?

But seriously, it's an experimental rig to create large dish performance using an array of smaller dishes. Fascinating stuff.
