Recovering from my latest 7020 hiccup Ive put this on my usb stick to have a look at. Is it possible to get the tp frequency to show in the info bar - its possible on many of the other images and I find it very useful, but I cant find an obvious way of doing it..

Easy Peasy Buddie,

Install a skin like "G P Futura Platin",double click the blue button, go to "general" and one of the options is to select details on the info box.

thank for arsking aglo an thanks for the answer yendor.it works a treat as aglo will find out when he wakes up.

in Gemini press blue then select extras/settings, then move down and select general. Finally select 'tuner info' in extra info field. It shows it in the middle of the info bar when you press info when using the standard skin. Also try setting the crypt to everything while you are in their, its something like ecm/emm/expert + it show what cam and keys are being used.

That is how it is done on a 7000 with Gemini 4.2. It is a little different on a 7025 but I think the Enigma 1 7020 and 7000 will be the same.

Please let me know if it worked for you.

I glad it is what you wanted. I like the Gemini image's they always work well for me and do most things you could want.

Another quick question....

Ive got 3 sets of "removed services" in the satellites list. How do I get rid of the damned things??

Im happy editing the xml files via ftp if someone can tell me the name of the folder and route of where the dratted things are hiding...

Go to the screen where you have taken that shot, highlight the ones you want to remove, press menu then scroll down and press delete.

Nah cant do that - these are the satellite service not removed channels. Theres no delete option when menu is pressed.

If you use dreambox edit and check the set up you will see the paths of the xml's
But why not just install a fresh image and update your channel list at the same time?

It IS a fresh image - my DB trashed its cf card last weekend & its putting my saved personal channel lists and configuration back onto this image thats caused this problem in the first place......

Id have thought with the infinitely customisable ideqal of the db Id have been able to edit out 3 redundant lines from an old configuration.

If I cant find a way of doing it by tomorrow I will start again, although Im getting a bit fed up of redoing the box - its had to be totally reconfigured half a dozen times from scratch since Christmas now.

You are doing something very wrong then m8, I have had the same channel info which I update myself when it is needed, I update the flash image as soon as it comes out and I play with other image son USB every time a new one comes out. I never loose my info.
I only ever use a USB on my 7020, no HDD or CF
If you want a step by step I will do it for you or if you want a back up image then just ask.
If you 7020 is up to date then it is 99% bug free;)

Well, it is the standard of Dreambox testing:)

I had a similar problem ages ago can´t remember what I did. sorry :-worship

This is why I just got me a 500 for testing things

I think the cf card went bad, no matter as it went in the rubbish bin a couple of days ago.. Never had any problems with it for nearly a year, then all of a sudden the box was locking solid every couple of days for no apparent reason, and then wouldnt reboot if the cf card was in. Its behaved itself since the cf card was junked - so far -although I havent had much chance to play with it since what with one thing and another..

I think when you suck the channel lists into dreamedit it removes them itself. Then save and restore them back to the Dreambox
