Raising my 1.2

You must have some serious ladders in you arsenal. Assuming that's not jus reaching out of a window...

:confused I just stand on the roof, its like it being at ground level, why do you think I built the summer house :-lol

Nothing at 72 but there is at 70.5. I get 70.5 here but rather intermittently because of such low elevation.

Now that is some serious brackets you've made.

I don't think you'll have any problems with winds.

Ive nudged round from 62E and my fist lock is a few radio channels and a two channel mux 66E 12595 H 6666 if I don't get any further E the time and effort of making the bracket was worth while:)

Those words mirror my thoughts about this hobby.....I can imagine your feelings when you locked that transponder.

Congrats Martin.

¿What is the next project? :-applause

Again a nice catch. 66E for is very iffy for me here with lots of signal variation. 68.5E is much stronger - even at low elevation. All channels on European beam should come in without issues for you.

70.5E - 11294H is the one to monitor (Sri Lankan mux) but there's also 11209H with MTA Int. on it. Don't be disheartened if you don't get it at first. I literally had to sit and wait for the atmospherics to improve for the signal to come in. It can be 6dB one minute and 10 seconds later completely disappear, only to come back in 2 minutes (or 10). Patience is key with this one.

Genius! Outstanding mate:-applause

Thanks all, I am one for waiting Alex ive chased signals for months/years lol, the actuator is about at its limit now I need to adjust it, but come in 68.5E :)

Very nice! What's the signal fade like for you there? Also, can you take a picture of the dish/mount at this extreme east position?

wow great catch martin !!!!
ps hows the summer house getting on ????

No signal fade with broken cloud Alex, flickering between 61/63%

Wow, that's close. Looks like 70.5e might just physically be out of reach, as the dish is about to beach itself on the pole. I assume west range is up to 61.5w?

I understand what you mean !! lol
you are getting some good signals from your 1.2m dish martin can you imagine what signals you are going to get out of the 1.8m when its up !!!

A long way to go for it to hit the pole:) well it will go more than 2 degree:) , the roof next door but one is the only thing to stop me pal, yes no problem with 61W ive had data from beyond 61W :)

LOL Alex, yes pal it will be fun, that's why I am in no rush to get it up, no projects will get done

Ah OK - must be the angle from which the picture was taken. Welp, one way to find out :)

Then the maybe roof problem goes to another roof for the 1.8, but its further away, if my calculations are correct I should have no problem with the 1.8 :), but happy if I get no further 68.5E to 61W is a good arc :)
