Hi, I need to weld a bracket up and fit the 1.2 above the gutter:eek: and hopefully finish the lnb modification today :), I will see how it goes :)

I need a new roof:eek:, a job for next year:(, a can of black spray is already sat waiting, just going to have a cuppa and I will go and do some fabricating :).
 
Hi, I failed to finish it today, I need to take the new fabricated bracket back down and re-drill the holes slightly bigger in the steel, two of the holes in the brick are not lining up correctly, I am hoping once its finished I will have a full arc ?, my reason for raising it as high as this and the trouble of making the new bracket time will tell :).

You could put a velux window in behind the dish, which would make maintenance/servicing/upgrades a breeze.

Its only a 1mtr I got the title wrong :D they could see it were it was st1 :)

Thanks nelson I had to make it 24 inch to get past the gutter:eek:

Once I am stood on the roof of the SH the lnb will be at face height:)

Lol st1 I am with you now pal :-doh, a couple of roll bolts have messed up and the shops are shut:(, I will see if I can salvage some used ones:).
 
great job martin.. less hassle than having a 3m lamp post pole down the side of the wall. what bolts are you using? standard nylon plug/bolt?, sleeveless thunderbolts or expansion bolts with/without resin?

Thanks gibertini, I have a 6mtr lamp post for the 1.8 lol, I am using this type pal I have used them for years on various projects,

I have the dish up but it needs some alterations, ive actually made my arc smaller its nearly touching the roof at 53E, not a problem I will just get some longer bolts.

It looks like I need to go about 6 inch further up, the dish was touching the roof at 53E, I raised it as much as I can (picture below is dish at 52E after raising it on the bolts), now I can get 57E with it touching the roof, so I think I need to raise it 6 inch to stand any chance of seeing 72E.

Hi, I am just about to start the alterations, I have decided to go out rather than up and add two support arms, I will post up my progress later tonight :).
