Is the picture showing? It is when I try to edit the post but not when I'm looking at the thread.

Nope. Not showing.

Edit: I've just used Staff access to go into Edit mode on that Post and it appears only as a placeholder.

In the Full Editor Mode, you have to do it in two steps: Attach, then Upload.

I just put the link... As you can see the only button is left of the HDMI port which is a reset button.

OK, then you need to pull the plug in order to turn it off, stick the USB stick in there with the new firmware and plug it back in.

NEVER had this happen in my puff, all guides tell you use the FRONT USB port, the receiver needs the plug pulled mate, you put the USB stick in the front, plug the receiver in at the wall and then it should start reading the USB stick, does your stick have a LED? I prefer those for flashing so you can see it being read etc.

Right guys, I've done it.. For some reason the 2nd try at latest Black Hole image worked! so I have now reflashed it to the latest BH.. It's not got TSpanel on it though for some reason, does anyone have a download link to the latest TSpanel? Is it on this site?

Thank you to everyone who has helped me out! Much appreciated.

Oh dear......I hope they havent started Vix'es sh*te and also block you from putting it on your box. Vix dont want ypu to have TS panel on there, arseholes in my opinion, their pulling support for a lot of third party plugins.

Hey, careful what you say and who you are calling an arsehole. There is nothing in OpenViX that stops you using it on any box.

Sorry but I really dont like how their streams are getting lighter and lighter with common daft plugins and on 3.0 they stop you from installing TSPanel because they say it dosnt sit well with Vix. Wish ad stuck to BlackHole some times, but I had weird issues with that and was scared I'd end up with a £175 paper weight so moved to Vix, 2.3 was my fave.

Vix is by far my favourite image - it just works and is very well supported. I've never had a need for TSPanel so even if they do stop putting this on there, I've no idea why you would want it.

BlackHole images are OK but they are not based on OpenPLI images, which means God-awful subtitles all over the screen. Black Pole is one to try but I found it rather lacking...

Just a few things... first OpenViX always uses the latest most up-to-date drivers and sometimes these aren't compatible with clones, but there is certainly nothing deliberate in the images to turn a clone into a paper-weight. And if an image is not compatible it is just a case of flashing the receiver with something else; no chance of any persistent damage.

As far as plugins are concerned they are written by third-parties so if you like them or not is down to the plugin writer and not OpenViX. OpenViX is one of the founder members of the OE-Alliance and one of the reasons for the Alliance is to make it easier for plugin writers to write plugins that work across a wide range of images due to the core source code being similar or the same from one image to another.

TSPanel... A plugin should be just that; additional files that run as an accessory to the image, but TSPanel actually hacks the system files of the image causing the image to break or be unstable. Also saying OpenVix doesn't support TSPanel is kind of putting the horse before the carriage. It's up to the plugin writer to ensure their plugin works properly with the widest variety of images, not the other way around, and without hacks.

Dump DCC and use proper tools. You just need to edit the CCcam.cfg file in /var/etc/ folder...

Yes, all you need is an FTP client (like Filezilla).

If you can't find a folder with DCC you won't be able to find it with any other FTP client. There is nothing wrong with using DCC, it has many useful enigma friendly features you would not get with a generic FTP client.

The reason you can't find the tmp folder is that there isn't a physical tmp folder with ViX images. tmp does exist as a virtual link, but you don't need to worry about that.

Just open the /etc/ folder to find CCcаm.cfg file you are looking for.
