Real Time Flight Tracking

Thought this site might be of interest because of the disruption to flights in and out of the UK today.

Only discovered it a few days ago and it seems strange to see the skies over the UK devoid of air traffic!!

No, it does all of Europe where they are still flying I think! But it's definitely gone down as I've just tried it again. Annoying as I wanted to track my sister in laws flight to Japan tomorrow. (If she takes off then that is) Sorry about that, I found it a really interesting site.

Ok, by way of an apology for leading you all to a duff site, try this one

It's a Dutch site and shows mainly flights in and out of Amsterdam. The neat thing is that is shows more detail of the planes, flight origin and destination and shows a moving graphic of the plane plotted on a European map.

Their site also says that London and Paris are offline, so perhaps that ash cloud is having an effect?

Well, having just read the latest on the BBC webpage, it's seems my timing was of the "Michael Fish" variety!! At least you can track a flight when they start up again in Europe.................whenever that might be!

It is showing flights moving in Europe, but below a line through Southern France, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Poland.
