Advice Needed Receivers with the lowest Symbol Rate?

Interesting experiment here on 16E..Two receivers, the SF8008 with the user define software and the DM900 with the Dream Elite Image. Both have Silabs tuners both off the same dish LNB etc. The dreambox has breakup on a BBC feed the Octagon is displaying no breakup at all and found a Sky News feed which the DM completley missed in Blind Scan...View attachment 134499View attachment 134501View attachment 134500
its surprising to me that the DM900 had breakup when the signal on the octagon is reporting 60% odd signal....

i usually find different images offer nothing really different from one to the next - other than the skin, and the way the basics work, like up and down for channel change, or maybe the plugins offered in the integrated feed. i wouldnt have thought one image would hold a stable pciture, but another not....pls correct me if im wrong.

Yes agreed. I have just put the OpenATV image in the DM900 and blind scan is not supported in that image, so that to me is no good..

Some images are built without the blind scan plugin but it can be installed from the Plugins download menu.
I think I had to do this with an OpenPli image recently. Once the blind scan plugin is downloaded and installed it functions just the same as if it had been shipped in the image.

Twas there MB, but when you press to start, got a rude message to say not supported. Just tried PLI not even in the download plugin section at all!!

yes confirmed - you have to install it from plugins with OpenPLI

at lunch time, I tried PurE2 - turned out to be the same blindscan as any other image, starting from 02 - but let me change to 01 - 45,000 - the SatDreamGR DID allow me to change it from 02 to 00 - but it didnt find any sub 1000SR TPs

so nothing different really, i was excited there for a while...

:)

I think only SatDreamGR change to 00, but start by hardware/driver SR 1000 (01)

Here, South America, we have:

Code:
JOVEM PAN = 3834 V 0480 (45 W)
REDE MAIS NOVA FM = 3887 H 0740 (75 W)
CCR FM 107.5 = 4045 V 0651 (75 W)
TELEVISA RADIO = 4038 H 0833 (113 W)

I'll try to test tomorrow (h9s, h9twin, Vu zero4k, Octagon SX88/88+, GT-Media V8UHD, GT-Media GTC, TBS 6922se and TBS 5925)

It was not even downloadable from the Plugin section in PLI for the DM900.. Strange..

Here, tests SR 651 and 480 (Zero 4k and Zgemma h9 twin)

H9 twin (OpenATV skin Metrix)

H9 twin (OpenATV skin Metrix)
thanks! with my H9S i scanned 45w on KU band - it found nothing. i then tried 34.5w, 30w, 22w, found nothing. sent it back. (blind scan i mean)

it DID manually lock the China Radio TPs

the Si2166D is proving to be one of the better demods (when implemented properly!) - as close to a TBS card as possible perhaps for a domestic E2 stb

Another good receiver at picking up low SR in blind scan is my Icecrypt 6600HD, getting on a bit and no longer madeP1010021.webp

Yep, it Linux based but not E2. They used these receivers in cinemas to receive opera to show in the cinema..
