Good afternoon

I will be installing a loft aerial I'm confused which aerial would be better for my installation. I currently live in NW London and I pick up the signal from the crystal palace transmitter signal ,were I live the signal is medium to strong.

Can anyone recommend an aerial I have been told the Blake DMX10 52 element is good.

By the way I no longer have a chimney so installing on the roof is out of the question.

I chose a Log Periodic, great reception and not bulky.

As it says on the ATV site, "if you can use a Log, use a Log !"... :)

Crystal Palace is one of the strongest television transmitters in the world.

The Blake would be overkill and likely pick up unwanted extra channels from distant transmitters (mine does).

The log does not have much gain but is ok, the signal strength at the television would probably be similar to a 30cm bare wire measured at roof height. I would use the Vision V20A2 group A log if using a log.

A professional installer would likely install an Antiference RX 12 group A outdoors and a RX20 group A in the loft. You can see a lot of RX12 on chimneys these days.
