record fail error

when trying record to my p.c. hard drive from db using the enigma w.i. i get an error - record failed due to write error, check for file system corruption.
can anyone shed any light on this?
ive been trying endlessly for weeks to record but i cant get it to work.

im sure there must be a simple answer.

id be eternaly grateful for any help on this one cos im going round the twist. thanks

Hey Doctor
I am afraid you haven't read the prescription, especially not the one called RTFM O-Ha

And another thing which might be useful in the future: If you want a good answer, you better give us a bit more information. For instance, it may be good to fill in the "My System" details in the user CP, and also tell us exactly what image you are using, etc.

And finally - I see PCD has pointed you to the cifs, try it out and let us know if it improved.

i like many others have been told to read the guides.
ive been at it for weeks using the guides without success!
however!
nobody said i had to read them PROPERLY ;o/
the idiots guide sorted it in 5mins.
i had everything mounted correctly but i hadnt unchecked the use simple file sharing box!
i was right, it was something simple!
yous were right, read the guide!
anyone else with any trouble - READ THE GUIDE, its fool proof! i managed;o)
