I would like to know why it is not possible on most satellite receivers to record what is being played on radio channels.
I have a receiver that does record radio channels, but I am not using it as my favorite receiver and prefer the VU+ SOLO SE V2, but it doesn't have the capability to record radio channels.
Perhaps there is a plugin that would enable it to record.
Thanks for any replies.

Is this receiver recording with a built in drive or external USB item ?

Do they simply refuse to record, or what it does record is unplayable ?

If the first then it may be something as simple as the manufacturer forgetting to include the feature.

Vu+Solo se V2 (Enigma2).
If you have the radio channels in aBouquet/Favorite, you select it and you can already record it.
The other way to select a radio channel is with the remote control, on the lower right side you put Radio, press,
You are already on radio, to exit, you have to press TV.

Being on the radio.
Press the corresponding key to display the channels, select the satellite you want with the yellow key and search for the radio channel you want.
You already listen, now you can record it.
Remember, you have radio channels that change the audio track, change channels, in these channels, in the recordings you have to do the same, select the audio track to change the chain.
-------------

The receiver refuses to record, without giving any error message.
Anyway, I found a way. Using the OpenWebIf and watching any channel using VLC, I am able to record radio channels without any problems to my PC HDD in ts format.
I suppose later on I can transfer the recordings to the VU+ receiver HDD and it should play.

That's funny. I tried to record with VU+ yesterday, but it didn't work.
Tried again just now and it works.
Thanks a lot everyone.

The recordings, better with the receiver, it has the same name/date order and if you leave a half reproduction, when returning to that recording, ask if you want to continue from that point.
Depending on the receiver configured in the general settings/user.
--------------

That's true. The only problem is that radio channels (at least the ones I use) don't have a good EPG with playlist, so I would have to let it record for a while and then then it will show only the title of what was on the playlist when I hit the recording button.

Some have the programming on the web of the chain.

Luck.
