I have an internal HDD installed in the DM800 and find that playing back anything that has been recorded is a pain - to play you have to select the recording press ok - press play - then press ok again.
If fast forward is selected then play is pressed to bring the speed back to normal it reverts back to the playlist.
Rewinding only seems to have one speed -superfast
Recording anything is also a pain with having to type in the programme name rather than selecting it from the programme guide.
Also sometimes the time it records in is GMT even though the clock has BST on the display but the menu is set to GMT(London etc) so I'm not sure what time to set on the menu.
Has anyone got a programme written which can be installed to make all this simpler?

Try Nabilo images,

you can record direct from EPG, multiply rewind speeds, also rewind or forward search by minutes.
And just press video then select recorded item to play.

Ok there are beginner guides on the site.
There is also a guide and the software needed on DMM site.

There are a couple of ways to do it. via HTTP or via the Null Modem Cable.

The Null Modem Cable is the safest you need a Null Model cable and DreamUp software.

All DreamBoxes have a steep learning curve when you begin, so be prepared to read alot and to put a few hours aside each week for tweeking it, till you get the box how you want it.
These are Hobby boxes and are not plug and play.
