Hi
Just set up a Digihome Saorview box which works great and is easy to set up and picture quality is brilliant. :)

I can record a programme no problem on an external hard drive and it plays back fine on the same tv.

But if I try to play it back through a Humax Foxsat, it wont play. The drive is recognised as it will show the photos I downloaded on to it, it shows the folder "sda1(1)" and when I click on it it shows "dvr(3)" and when I click on that, "storage(0)" but will not play.

In other words, is it possible to record from one stb and play-back on another?

I should have said that the Digihome box is DVB-T, MPEG2 and DVB-T MPEG4, if that's relevant, and I cannot get it to play on my laptop.

Any ideas on how I can get it to work on the Humax?

Thanks

TC

Foxsat only works with the .ts format for recordings.

What format does your Saorview machine use?

Also, Foxsat does not like external file sizes in excess of 4GB.

The most likely answer is that the file system the Digihome box creates is incompatible with the Hummy.

edit - Beaten to it by Tivu :D
