Might be OK for a Zone 1 Skydish, but I wouldn't put any dish much bigger (and certainly not one with a heavy motor) on that clamp as it looks fairly flimsy!

Edited - rest of post deleted as TJ then gave better ideas (and I misread your post anyway)

i came with another solution to put it on top of my shed will be easier to maintain and will keep the arc. I found this in toolstation TV Aerial Tile & Slate Clamp what are your thoughts?
The pole needs to come down through the clamp to also fix at a lower point, otherwise the wind load will twist it all over. Picture of your shed, inside and out would help. I did help a friend put his up through the roof tiles of his bungalow but it was good because it was bolted onto the roof struts and the bottom onto the ceiling rafters.

I still think the suggestions from others about mounting on the back wall might be a good idea - take a look at some of the stuff on the Trade Works site. My Zone 2 dish is mounted on an off-set mounting from there, on top of the conservatory.

Here are a couple of shots on my Zone 2 dish on the conservatory roof using the off-set goose-neck mount I got from Tradeworks, which is bolted to the wall, not the roof.

Provided the tree in photo does not restrict you arc it all looks fine to me. I would mount it on the right hand side panel, using a couple of small standoff brackets. May have to put in a couple of noggins to span between the uprights of the shed carcass to attach one side of the brackets.

i was more incline to fix it on the roof of the shed with this
TV Aerial Tile & Slate Clamp
I believe the wind loading is to much and it will be difficult to get the pole in a perfectly plumb position. Also why penetrate the roof as it creates a strong possibility of leaks. The clamp you have chosen is for TV aerials. Mounting on the shed side enables you to get it plumb, gives anchorage at a high and low point. The same as before on your house wall but much more accessible.

Put a decent sized dish on that bolted through the roof and there is a good chance you will lose the roof of the shed!

i see thanks for the feedback I will get a SAT engineer in to see if he can put it in the back wall of the house then without loosing the arc as Jeallen 01 mentioned no need to run so much cable and will be attached to bricks

I would use Dishpointer.com to see which is the best position. Not sure where south is for you but Dishpointer will sort it out.

South is on the left towards chimney that is why it was in the gable end

Did you check the elevation that the 30W signal comes in, against the slope of the roof (and the position of the chimney)?

A33
elevation 24.6

The brackets clamps are very small and I woupld say they dont spread the load out enough. Get yourself a heavy duty T & K bracket with a bit of heavy duty steel tube as the mounting pole

Ensure the minimum length of tube is above the top mount so the pole has minimum flex.

Agree about the brackets - maybe you could bolt those to some lengths of flat steel bar (say 18" long?), and then bolt the latter t o the wall as that would spread the load out (especially considering the state of your wall!) and give better rigidity.

Also agree about the top mount needing to be as close to the dish motor mount as possible - otherwise the dish will be very unsteady in any form of "wind".

yep will need to get an 18 inch TK to go round the gutter and will use a scaffolding pole which i manage to get. However is the location ok to get the ARC?

I get the stronger Hispasat muxes on a zone 2 Sky dish up here (30 miles south of Edinburgh) but it depends what frequencies/channels interest you most. The main problem with Sky lnb's used on the west part of the arc is the Skew is set the "wrong way" --> adjusting for 28E not 30W which needs the lnb twisted the other way!
