Some buttons weren't working so I got some conductive paint from China. The problem was it didn't dry fully and would come off on the circuit board.
Solved the problem by putting drops of the paint on a piece of printer paper where it did dry then cutting out small circles and super glueing to the silicone buttons.

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Try cleaning them with STP Brake Cleaner, it's usually grease and oils from fingers that soaks into the rubber that causes a lack of conductivity, I've done this with a few remotes that were "beyond salvage" and, er, salvaged them... :D

(the brake cleaner's also useful for just just general degreasing too, well worth having around the house!)

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
For brake cleaner (doesn't have to be STP!), try your local motor factor - such as GSF or ECP.

Mine had definitely had the coating worn off I can still see it on the buttons that are rarely used. Research has informed me that part of the problem is caused by insufficiently baked silicone that continues to leach silicone oil and reduces adhesion.

Have you tried the pencil technique ?

I've glued some little dots of aluminium foil on the contact side of malfunctioning buttons.
Works also. :)

Never seen a Tourettes operated remote before, though B3ta had a keyboard design years ago.
