Restoring a working antique dish to full functionality..

Looks like Amazon to the rescue again.
10 piece diamond jewellery file kit for £4
delivery tomorrow.

Yesterday was a write off sat wise...
My cat Peppa has developed a UTI...so much time was spent catering to her needs...along with vet visits the previous day.
Apparently the high grain content and low actual meat/protein content in cat foods can contribute to a poor immune system particularly in older cats....so a course of antibiotics and an upgrade in food quality was in order.
She's now eating better than I am.

Ok back on subject...The Diamond files arrived and I used at least 2 of them.
First job ..clean up the groove my poor mans lathe created.
Next ...I had to cut slopes in the LNB casting to accommodate the larger 'ears' of the 24mm circlip.
I guess I could have ground them off but then I'd never have anything with which to remove the circlip if I needed to.
I am very happy with the results..
See pix
..Now to create the large aluminium washer with a 25mm dia hole..

Keep us posted on Peppa.
Indeed I will Stephen...
I lost her brother...George about 18 moths ago.
Same age both..but he had heart failure.
If I also lost Peppa ...I'd be in bits.

Dont think I'll be working outside any time soon...the weather is unforgiving atm.
..so might as well do the indoor jobs I can do.

Ok ...done for tonight...
It's obvious I'll need to invest in some more appropriate length m2.5 bolts...and possibly star washers..
24mm nitrile rubber gaskets both inside and outside the washer/plate ...but looks good and nice and straight..
I may also use some gasket gunk inside as well..
I really dont want rain ingress.
Also need to come up with a cap of some sort...which is practically invisible to RF at Ku.
suggestions welcomed.
Hopefully the last picture will be with the modded bullseye complete and wearing its plastic casing again.
