Typical salt damage, often happens in coastal areas to the steel dishes, as the sand whipped up by the wind breaks the paint surface and within days it starts to go rusty. My mum lives in Thornton Cleveleys and her dish just melted in the space of 18 months into a pile of rust dust.

wow,
we are by the sea here as well and i see this after 8 to 10 years.
aluminum dishes last longer.
thet cost more as well.
i have some irte 2 meter aluminum dishes in use for 20 years and i am still using them.
ralph:)

Truly gruesome!

I bet it still works as efficiently as it did when pristine, though.
