Its nice & easy one to set up this one & get it decoding. Download the MMRTTY application, set it to your virtual audio cable and go hunting RTTY signals. Ive had some success around 7059khz once again using the old favourite Hack Green websdr. You are looking for a distinct double peaked signal andthe spectrogram has a lovely double oval when its working right.

As you can see it "decodes" as lot of garbage when its just on noise or weak signals but its easy enough to get a sense of the actual messages - most of which seem so far to be transmitted by hams calling cq. :D

Ah, ratty-tatty!

When I was an active Ham, I used RTTY a fair bit, using a Sinclair Spectrum with some simple software, and an FT840.

Edit: Actually, I think the timeline is wrong ..... more likely it was an FT102. Long time ago.

Ive been trying the similar wefax as well but that software isnt very user friendly - its an abomination in fact. All Ive got so far is a few faint lines.... Info when I get summat useful out of it!
