Newbie Here Sat link

Must be GPS , no other way to know otherwise , similar to the Snipe which says :

The Selfsat Snipe 3 'White Line' Twin Output fully automatic satellite antenna offers an inconspicuous installation due to its new completely white stylish design. The compact form factor of the SNIPE 3 antenna takes up very little space - ideal for mounting on the roof of a motorhome. Even the annoying alignment at a new location is eliminated. Thanks to the integrated GPS module and electronically controlled drive, the antenna automatically aligns itself at the touch of a button. You receive your usual desired program even when traveling, as long as the respective satellite is available. The SNIPE 3 automatically folds as soon as you turn off the receiver or start the vehicle.
Can I then make a controller with Astra 2 programmed into it from a raspberry pie or anduino ?

At the older Oyster type's you have to set first the elevation to one of the 3 pre-programmed regions for Europe .
Than the AZ motor runs untill it finds the signal from the selected satellite .
With that type it was also possible to move AZ en EL by hand .

How can I tell if my campingman dish has built in gps as there are lots of electronics under the dome

The dish won't have it, Jeallen was talking about the control unit that you are missing.

If I posted a picture of the inside of the dish would this help to determine if it has built in gps thanks
