I'm really confused about which cable to get for my new motorized system. I have pro power rg6/u installed on a quad lnb for sky of about 25 meteres, and i have plenty left over for my motorized system. The problem is im hearing so much about rg6 and ct 100 i dont know what to do.

Seems straightforward to me - 25m is not an unduly long run, so lash it up with the RG6 and if the results are what you'd want, tidy it up and leave it.

CT100 and RG6 are much of a muchness, I have both types running from the same dish to two receiver and haven't seen any difference. I've had more problems with dodgey F connections over the years and sometimes I nip them up with a spanner. This actually eliminated some interference from a DECT phone recently.

Trouble is that a lot of cable is coming in from the far east and being labelled as CT100, when it is not. CT100, WF100 etc are all RG6 type cable. If you have reasonable quality RG6 installed, then there won't be any discerbale difference over 25 metres, but some RG6 cable is diabolical, as is some of the cable fraudulently labelled as CT100.

Thanks lads will stick with the rg6.

It appears some are selling substandard WF100 as well.
