Hello newbie here.
I’m looking for some software for a Satlink WS6936 meter.
I’ve recently lost the signal on Astra 2B/ 28.2 degrees.
It’s in my menus but won’t detect the signal for alignment. I believe the battery ran to low for a month or so, as the meter looks like its defaulting to a beginning of start up if that makes sense.

Which firmware is currently installed ?

There are various threads on upgrading of the devices Satlink promote under their brand.
 
Your meter doesn't support DVB-S2 modulation which most transponders on 28.2°E now use. Have a look on Lyngsat to see which transponders are still using the older DVB-S modulation.

Odd that the earlier model WS-6933 did cover S2

Perhaps a word with the supplier might get the o/p a refund or discount on something that works moving forward.
