Scary blackbird incident....

I feel like I was just in a real life horror film

Just heard a big bang - one dead blackbird had nosedived into one of my dishes

Went into my garden to see EIGHT blackbirds looking at me surrounding their dead friend

I returned inside to try and forget the incident!


anyone got any more 'unusual' satellite stories :)
 
It's a shame you weren't able to get a photo of them.
 
Ouch!

We often get Thrushes and Blackbirds hurtling full tilt into the windows, but that's the first time I heard of one going for a "black body".
 
Unusual to see them together in such a manner. They're very territorial, don't normally crowd together, particularly now when they're starting to pair off.
 
Perhaps they were protesting and demanding a change of dictator O-no
