hi chaps ,
just wondering if anyone could help
Ive got a samsung dsr9500 patched approx 4 yrs old
been no problems with this unit til the other night got a searching for signal
message, thought dish had moved , checked it out solid as a rock, next changed lnb, still the same tested cable for shorts and continuity no problems there, have a old analogue receiver got a picture on hotbird proving dish and cable ok, used a working sky mini dish using manual search mode on eurobird
samsung didnt see a thing on signal strength indication,I ve come to the conclusion that the receiver has failed, any one out ther had any experiece with this unit if I cant repair it I probably will bow out of the sat scene as I had a few big bills to pay lately and got to be sensible with spending
thanks in advance to any replies given

ok chaps now sorted
got info from papagens site a specialist in the dsr 9500
looks like it may be just a single capacitor to change in the tuner to be up and running again
when things like this happen just goes to show when buying new gear just think of the support that may be found a few years down the line
thanks and a happy new year to all our readers
