Hi there,

Sorry about the lame thread. I've got Sky Digital receivers on a boat and we lose some channels when we get out in the fringe. We're in Capri at the moment and my guests asked if I could get the Belgian F1 rockin'. Although 80% of the channels are working here in Capri I can't get BBC and it's neigbouring channels goin.

I had someone tell me there's a second channel so I thought I'd ask around. Is there any other channels I can catch F1 on? Can you teach my how to find out for myself so I don't have to ask silly questions, too?

Sorry, I'm still a novice.

RTL on 13E or 19E

Or use the red button sport feed on 28E. Put BBC News on, press red and choose a feed.

That's page 3001 on BBC Text

Thanks guys!

I tried the red button and saw some text headlines from F1 news. But I couldn't see a feed of any type. I'll go give it another go and look for 3001. I navigated through a few menus to get to the F1 stuff but didn't see any 3001 I thought I remembered seeing 300 though.

Anyway. I'm sure I'll get it - thanks to you guys. Appreciate the help!

It worked!

Thanks again.

I just went to BBC News (Not BBC1), pushed the red button, navigated to 3001 and BAMMO! Happy guests.

Yes!

Yes!

This wont work after mid October if you are out of range of Astra 2D - the BBC News service is switching over to 2D!

Thanks to Timo for giving the exact instructions - I never bother with the red button as its so glacially slow!

You will need a cheap fta box to access the BBCi streams direct once the News moves to 2D

I only know it as I've had to teach my Dad how to do it. He won't be happy to hear BBC News is going and the feeds will need yet another box in Finland...
