Please can someone help me to tune the Hotbird satellite.Would it be better if I could get hold of an old analogue receiver to tune hotbird satellite and what would be the best channel to use.I remember in the old days the black and white spots on the screen ment your elevation was to high or low(black i think)and the white spots ment to far to the left or right!!!!!!!!,or was it the other way round.I have an 80cm dish with a .3db lnb and a echo 3600 digital receiver which someday down the line I will upgrade to a dish motor

Hi Chambo, the sparklie rule relates to high or low frequency offset, not left or right, yes, an analogue receiver would make your life easier, you could find the analogue channels at www.Lyngsat.com , if you can't get hold of one, then a satbeeper or swinging needle satfinder will do a good job. :)
